The 2007 Friendship Scramble golf tournament was held on Saturday, May 19th. This year's recipient is Christopher Christy. He is 2 years old and has been diagnosed with Ependymoma, a brain tumor, for which he has received radiation, chemotherapy and numerous surgeries. This sweet little boy loves to wave hello and goodbye, blows frequent kisses and is becoming quite proficient in sign language. He is unable to talk due to the tracheotomy tube he wears. Along with all the donations raised for this event, Christopher went home with many personal gifts of interest including family memberships to both the Boise family YMCA and Zoo Boise, a professional photography package and a stuffed yellow duck (yellow is Christopher's favorite color) that is three times his size. His father, mother, brother, two sisters, godmother and godfather all accompanied him to the golf course for support. He loved all the attention he received at the golf course while meeting players, volunteers, organizers and well-wishers. Christopher is currently under the care of the Mountain States Tumor Institute in Boise, Idaho and continues to fight this horrible disease that has inflicted this joyful little two year old. He is now and forever will be part of the Friendship Foundation family. We look forward to hearing updates from his family and seeing him again at next year's tournament.
